These terms govern all aspects of our web hosting, domain registration, and additional services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue using our services immediately.
RunHost provides hosting and domain services under strict compliance with industry standards and applicable regulations. We reserve the right to modify these TOS at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes via email, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of the revised terms.

3. Description of Services
3.1 Web Hosting Services
- Shared Hosting: Affordable hosting for small websites, blogs, and personal projects.
- VPS Hosting: Virtual Private Servers offering dedicated resources with root access.
- Dedicated Server Hosting: Fully dedicated physical servers for high-performance needs.
- Email Hosting: Secure and private email hosting solutions for businesses and individuals.
- Website Hacked Solutions: Malware scanning and removal services to restore hacked websites.
3.2 Domain Services
- Domain Registration: Purchase and secure domain names with various extensions (TLDs).
- Domain Transfer: Move domain names from another registrar to RunHost.
- Domain Renewal: Extend the validity of domain registrations before expiration.
3.3 Reseller Hosting
We provide reseller hosting packages where users can resell our hosting plans under their own brand name. Resellers are responsible for their clients and must comply with all RunHost policies and legal requirements.
4. Account Registration and Verification
4.1 Real Name Registration Requirement
To ensure compliance with global security and fraud prevention measures, all customers must register using their real legal name. RunHost reserves the right to request identification documents to verify account authenticity. Providing false or misleading information may result in account termination without refund.
4.2 Verification Process
New users may be required to submit a government-issued ID (such as a Passport or Driver's License) for verification. Additional verification steps may be required for high-value transactions or suspicious activities.
4.3 Account Security and Responsibility
- Customers are responsible for securing their account credentials, including login details and passwords.
- Sharing of accounts is strictly prohibited. If an account is found to be shared, RunHost is not liable for any security breaches or data loss resulting from such actions.
- RunHost employs advanced security measures but is not responsible for customer-side vulnerabilities.
5. Domain Name Policies
5.1 Registration and Transfer Rules
- Domains must be registered under the customer's legal name.
- Domains registered through RunHost must be kept with us for a minimum of 60 days before they can be transferred to another registrar.
5.2 Expiry and Renewal
- Customers will receive renewal notifications 60 days before their domain's expiration.
- Failure to renew a domain on time may result in additional redemption fees, which vary based on the TLD provider's policy.
- Domains that enter a redemption period may incur extra charges for recovery.
6. Payment, Billing, and Refund Policies
6.1 Accepted Payment Methods
RunHost accepts various payment methods for customer convenience:
- Credit/Debit Cards
- PayPal
- Klarna
- Local Payment Gateways
- Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.)
- Bank Transfer
6.2 Late Payments and Fees
- All invoices must be paid before the due date.
- A 5% late fee applies to invoices paid after the due date.
- Accounts with overdue invoices exceeding 14 days will be permanently terminated, and this action cannot be reversed.
6.3 Refund Policy
- Shared Hosting Plans: Eligible for a 14-day refund (except in cases of TOS violations or where a free .com domain was provided, in which case $21.99 will be deducted for the domain cost).
- VPS, Dedicated Hosting, and Email Hosting: Refundable within 3 days of purchase.
- Gmail services and auto-renewed products: Non-refundable.
- Refund Method: Refunds are issued only to the original payment method. Payments made via crypto or bank transfer will be credited as RunHost credits for future purchases.
7. Uptime Guarantee and Compensation
7.1 Uptime Commitment
RunHost guarantees 99.9% uptime for all hosting services. In the event of downtime, customers may receive compensation in the form of service credits.
7.2 Compensation for Downtime
- Compensation is calculated at 2% of the customer's monthly hosting fee per hour of downtime.
- Compensation is only issued in the form of RunHost credits, which can be used for future payments.
- Downtime must be confirmed by RunHost's support team before compensation is issued.
8. Service Usage and Prohibited Activities
8.1 Prohibited Content and Activities
Customers are strictly prohibited from using RunHost services for:
- Illegal activities, including fraud or unauthorized access to networks.
- Phishing websites or scams.
- Spam emails or bulk marketing campaigns.
- Pornographic, adult, or escort-related content.
- Hacking tools or software designed for unauthorized intrusion.
- Copyright-infringing content.
- Crypto mining operations.
- Mass email marketing (only transactional emails are permitted).
Failure to comply with these restrictions will result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
8.2 Resource Usage Limitations
RunHost automatically throttles excessive resource usage to ensure fair distribution of server resources. Customers exceeding fair usage policies will receive a warning. If no corrective action is taken within 48 hours, services may be suspended.
9. Support Services
9.1 Customer Support Availability
- 24/7 ticket-based support is available for all customers.
- Live chat and phone support may be offered for select premium services.
- RunHost does not offer guarantees on resolution times but strives to address all queries as quickly as possible.
9.2 Support Limitations
- RunHost does not provide support for third-party software or custom scripts used by customers.
- Customers are responsible for securing their websites and maintaining their software updates.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL RUNHOST BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RunHost and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Services.
13. Governing Law
These TOS are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of London, United Kingdom.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these TOS at any time by posting the modified terms on our website. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
