Domain Expiry Check
Check when your domain expires and get alerts for upcoming renewals to avoid losing your domain
Understanding the ICANN Domain Expiration Lifecycle
Monitoring your domain's expiration date prevents unexpected website downtime, email interruption, and costly redemption fees. Use RunHost's free Domain Expiry Checker to inspect exact registry expiration timestamps, registration dates, and remaining days before renewal.
1. Auto-Renew Grace Period (0–45 Days)
Immediately after expiration, most gTLDs enter a renewal grace period where the current registrant can renew the domain at the standard rate without penalty.
2. Redemption Grace Period (30 Days)
If not renewed during the grace period, the domain enters redemptionPeriod status. DNS is disabled and recovery requires a registry redemption fee.
3. Pending Delete (5 Days)
During the 5-day pendingDelete phase, the domain cannot be recovered and is purged from the registry database, becoming available for public registration at RunHost Domains.
